Double Talk is a conversation made visible.
As father and son, our collaboration isn’t about blending our styles into one voice—it is about allowing two voices to speak simultaneously, each retaining its own character while creating something neither could achieve alone. These paintings were created side-by-side in the studio, sharing ideas and occasionally working directly into each other’s canvases—responding to marks as they appeared, and allowing the work to move back and forth between us. Some works were completed by Jimmy, some by Julian, and others emerged through a shared process in which authorship becomes intentionally fluid.
