Who is Luckygirl?
Luckygirl Gourmet Gallery is a contemporary art gallery. We run an invitational, exhibition based program that rotates every four weeks. We’re located under the I-405 overpass in the north end of “The Pearl” in downtown Portland, OR. It’s kind of dramatic, but so are we.
Our space offers industrial vibes free of pretense and a focus on the art. Our artists are established and emerging and they all call the Pacific Northwest home.
We sell a small selection of boutique groceries as a statement, not an afterthought. Our selection of specialty food, drink, and pantry goods are curated with the same eye as our exhibitions: intentional, specific, a little indulgent. Enter through the mezzanine, grab a snack, sit down, and appreciate the work.
The gallery is owned and directed by Nikki Brovold and Shawn Przybilla. It takes inspiration and its neon sign from Nikki’s organic gourmet grocery store she had twenty years ago in Minneapolis, MN.
Our mission is to sustain a marketplace that celebrates artists, creators, and their patrons.

Good to know
- When are you open?
- Wednesday–Saturday, 12–6pm. No appointment needed, just drop in. On First Thursday, the Pearl’s monthly art walk, we usually stay open later, until 7 or 8pm.
- Can I visit outside opening hours?
- Yes, we’re happy to open by appointment. Book a time that suits you, or send us a message.
- How do I buy art?
- Every work on our site has an Inquire link beside it. Tap it to send us a message about that piece, and we’ll get back to you about price and availability, usually within a day. You’re also welcome to ask us in person at the gallery.
- Is the gallery wheelchair accessible?
- Yes, through our parking lot. Please skip the ramp on NW 15th Ave: it leads up to our mezzanine landing, which only has stairs down into the gallery. Instead, head into the parking lot, which runs between NW 14th and NW 15th and can be entered from either street. It’s at street level, with its own door straight into the gallery that’s open whenever we are. During events we usually open the garage door too. Questions about access? - Is there a restroom?
- Yes, a roomy one at street level. If you have specific access needs, get in touch and we’ll happily tell you more.
- Can I bring my kids?
- Absolutely. Kids are welcome with a grown-up keeping them close. The art is for looking, not touching, so a little guidance goes a long way.
- Can I bring my dog?
- Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome. A leash is preferred.
- Where do I park?
- We have a space in our lot, and the building’s lot usually has open spots too. Street parking nearby is plentiful.
- Do events cost anything?
- Our events are usually free of charge. An RSVP helps us plan, but it’s never required. See what’s coming up on our events calendar.
- Can I book the space?
- Yes. Luckygirl is available for private events, photo shoots and pop-ups. Get in touch and tell us what you have in mind.
- Do you accept artist submissions?
- Not at the moment. Follow us on Instagram, where we announce open calls.
