Richard Cutshall is a Portland-based Mexican-American artist whose work spans painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Working across mixed media, often combining acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, ink, and graphite, Cutshall excavates dark, archetypal imagery from the psychic shadows, producing work that is surreal, occasionally unsettling, and yet subversively playful. His practice carries a strong narrative thread, with fairy tale elements and an existential undercurrent that has deepened over time. His extensive exhibition record includes numerous group and solo shows both nationally and internationally, with work held in many private and public collections. He is represented by Go Gallery and Verum Ultimum Art Gallery in Portland, and the Portland Art Museum Rental Sales Gallery. His work Serpent's Song is featured in Luckygirl Gourmet Gallery's inaugural group show, Who's That Girl.
